An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Tammy Kielian (Twitter: @KielianLab) in the Department of Pathology and Microbiology, University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The candidate will direct independent projects related to the role of innate and adaptive immunity in host defense against Staphylococcus aureus biofilms using mouse infection models as well as translational research with clinical specimens from patients with biofilm infections. The laboratory utilizes numerous tools to explore host immune-biofilm crosstalk, including single cell RNA-seq, epigenetic platforms, and transposon sequencing. https://www.unmc.edu/pathology/faculty/bios/kielian.html

The successful candidate should possess a PhD in immunology or a related immunology-intensive background and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
